Our third Canon Island Blogger in the spotlight this week is Kirsty from the widely creative arts and crafts blog Kootoyoo. Her blog began from her love of reading other people’s blogs. It was then she felt that maybe she too had something to contribute, creating a blog which placed her children as the main source of inspiration.

Since her blog began, Kirsty has not only made some amazing friends as a result, but also established a forum in which one hundred or more bloggers have joined to share their creative processes, their workspaces, and their lives. Here’s what she had to say when asked for her top tips:

Top tips for capturing the perfect image? “Shoot with feeling.”

Photography inspiration? “My world, my childhood, my family.”

Blog inspiration? “My blog is a bit craft, a bit drivel, a bit helpful & a bit of fun. I make a lot of stuff and I try to think outside the box...put a bit of a different spin on things. I chronicle my makings on the blog and offer a fair few "how to" posts too.  Hopefully I inspire other people to have a crack at making stuff too.”
