It’s been a bit quiet on the blog this month; we have been super busy with key events that we are excited to share with you.
The first of these and the biggest yet is the ‘Jet with Canon’ trip. I’m sure you have seen the updates and pictures on Facebook, but here we’ll share the details of this amazing experience.
At the end of last year Canon launched a massive competition where they gave 52 lucky winners and a friend each, the chance to win a surprise trip. Canon chartered an entire Boeing 737 for the journey and exact locations were kept top secret. The only details disclosed were that the four-day Aussie adventure was filled with exclusive, premium experiences. So here’s how the adventure unfolded.
The journey began in Sydney where everyone had the chance to meet before taking off on their picturesque holiday!

Then, after a red carpet moment, we’re off on the Jet with Canon!
First stop, Tropical North Queensland with a breathtaking gondola ride on the Skyrail gliding over the pristine rainforest surrounding Cairns. Guests ensured every moment was captured.

Just when our guests thought they had been taken to new heights, Lee Kernighan surprised everyone with an exclusive performance for a truly memorable experience. Do we have any Lee Kernaghan fans?

So who out of the group was most adventurous? Following Lee’s performance, our guests headed 30 minutes inland to Kangaventure where a mix of heart-racing activities were on offer for guests to choose - from a spot of golf, horseback riding and boomerang throwing to the more daring like white water rafting, quad-bike riding, paintball and an out-back hummer ride. These pictures say it all…

And to top off the first day Canon treated guests to a secluded beach party at Thala Beach Lodge near the Great Barrier Reef – the first of three evening events to come.
Check out the fire eaters and Island dance troupe performance. Has anyone been to Port Douglas, do you want to share your special moments with us?

What did Canon have installed for their guests next… how does a cruise down Low Isles to Port Douglas sound to you? What about beachside massages, snorkeling, bumper tubing or wake boarding?
Guests had the opportunity to chill out on their relaxing cruise to Low Isles, topped off with live entertainment.

Ahh the freedom of a holiday - when the holiday vibe finally sets in and the stress of everyday life is no longer present. We managed to capture that key moment when the child within is released and inhibitions are out the door…

Geared up with their waterproof PowerShot D10’s they captured some key moments of the trip at the Low Isles. We particularly love the adventures of the marine life; there are some breath-taking underwater shots.

The day didn’t finish there, as the sun sets the jet crew made their way back to the resort, a few glistening surprises make their way to the secluded forest destination awaiting their Canon guests…

Arriving at their forest dinner Canon guests were greeted by fairies - the magic of the night was just beginning.
Guests were treated to some special performances. For any Kyla Sexton fans out there, you should enjoy images of her key performance as she shows off her infamous vocal skills.

And then the fun really began – Canon guests enjoyed the professional dancers, one of which featured on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ (can you pick who she is?). Don’t forget the stellar performance by ‘Justice Crew’; even Lizzy Lovette tried a spot of break dancing.
The guests decided to show the dancers how it’s done, giving them a run for their money…

After a big night of dancing it was time to jet off to The Northern Territory and the heart of the Australian Outback.
Before making it to Australia’s most iconic landmark, there was plenty to see along the way. A day at the Olga’s left guests with some sensational memories.

In the middle of the red desert Canon’s guests were spoilt with yet another spectacular performance. ‘Pricilla Queen of the Desert’ wowed the crowd and even had one guest inspired to put on a show…

After a night of laughing, dancing and quirky Australian drama it was time for the early rises to finish their adventure with a tour of Uluru, and the opportunity to capture the changing colours at sunrise.
Anyone who has ever visited Uluru explains that the breathtaking experience cannot be described to its full extent. We would love for you to share a key image you have of Uluru that depicts the moment.
The ‘Jet with Canon’ trip came to an amazing end after four action-packed days. Make sure you keep watching this space as we recap the event from those who experienced it first hand – the competition winners and their friends!

We would love to see any memories that you have captured from a fun adventure – share them on our Facebook page. Better yet, post a gallery of your trip on our ‘People’s Gallery’.
