It’s time to meet another great EOS Photo5 winner. Be inspired by 'Confetti' winner Lou, who we conducted a short interview with.

What motivated you to compete in the EOS Photo5 competition?
A challenge! I bought my first DSLR (a Canon 1000D) in June this year and have not put it down since. I always had a penchant for photography but never thought I would be good enough to pursue it as a career. After buying the SLR I was hooked! Totally! I then became a regular on the Canon site- soaking up any and all information I could. When the EOS Photo5 competition came around I was desperate to get a box. I was so excited when I saw I got it in time. 

What inspires your photography? 
I dabbled as a painter when my first child was born and loved it – but it took too long to achieve the results I wanted.   

Creating something out of nothing, a moment, beauty and people sum up what inspires me most. 

Describe what the EOS online community means to you? 
Oh I love it ! It’s a home away from home! Ha ha ha – so much info and support. 

Have you participated in any other World of EOS competitions? 
No 

How would you describe yourself as a photographer?
I am confident using manual settings and a range of lenses.
