We promised to introduce you to the inspirational EOS Photo5 winners for 2010, and it’s finally that time. To start the ball rolling we asked EOS Photo5 Sound Brief winner Ainslie Bernoth to let us know what inspired this image.

The Sound Brief was a challenging one and we are interested to see how Ainslie managed to come up with this breath taking image.

Let Ainslie know what you think of the feedback she provided.

1) What motivated you to compete in the EOS Photo5 competition?
Other participants in an online forum whom I really look up to, had entered last year, and it inspired me to enter this year.

2) What inspires your photography?
People, anything to do with people, they fascinate me. All ages and sizes, I am inspired to capture them and to make them feel beautiful. Nothing makes me happier than to have someone who hates getting their photograph taken, fall in love with their image.

3) Describe what the EOS online community means to you?
Canon EOS is such an awesome opportunity to view inspiration and get visual enjoyment from other peoples images. I love looking at how people interpret a brief, and also where their ideas take them!

4) Have you participated in any other World of EOS competitions?
No this is my second ever competition!

5) How would you describe yourself as a photographer?
I'm an advanced photographer – this option suits me as  I am a confident photographer, starting out in business

6) Are there any professional photographers that you aspire to?
Oh yes, so many! Gina Kolsrud, Beth Jansen, Nichole Van.  I could go on...mostly child photographers as that is what attracts me to photography.
