We’ve announced the winners of the ‘Photos 1440: A day, a minute, a moment’ themed competition, run on the Canon EOS Facebook page.
The challenge was to upload an image that captured a special minute in your day. Alvin Wong received the highest number of votes to win the People’s Choice Award for his image titled, ‘Connections’. Congratulations!

Four entries were also awarded Judges’ Choice winners. All four photographers each win two tickets to attend the Sydney Morning Herald’s ‘Photos 1440: A day, a minute, a moment’ exhibition slide night in Sydney on July 29, as well as a framed 12x16 inch print of their favourite image from the official ‘Photos 1440’ exhibition.
You can check out all the Judges’ Choice winners here.
There was lots of debate around this particular competition, with people questioning whether public voting was the right way to go and whether you should be able to win the People’s Choice award if you have won it in a previous competition. It has been interesting to hear everyone’s thoughts and we are certainly taking them on board for future competitions.
Thanks to everyone who shared their creativity and took part in our Canon EOS Festival of Photography competitions!
