We are coming into the third week of the Canon EOS Festival of Photography’s  ‘Head On Photo Festival’, and there are still plenty more exciting events to come.

This Thursday the Walkley Foundation’s Photographers’ Slide Night will be held at Tusculum House in Sydney. The Slide Night is an annual celebration of Australian press photography - it's a chance to show off the in-depth projects that don't always make it into print. Email Walkley Foundation to RSVP to this event held on May 20 from 6pm at Tusculum House in Potts Point.

Some other exciting exhibition’s at Head On this week include:

• Maree Alexander, Sam Ash, Leila Jeffreys and Simon Portbury’s ‘NOW at Iain Dawson Gallery’ in Paddington. 18th – 29th May. 
• ‘IDAHO The Exhibition - Love Combatting Fear at Kudos Gallery’ the intriguing exhibition that aims to raise the awareness of homophobia. 18th-29th May at the Kudos Gallery in Paddington.
• ‘Lanjanuc at Point Light Gallery’ in Surry Hills has an exhibition of Stephen Tester’s photographs, executed in hand-coated palladium. 15th-16th May.
• Pete Longworth’s  ‘No Direction Known at Airport North Gallery’ in Alexandria, showcases his visual journal across continents. 20th May- 17th June.
• ‘City West Link at Gaffa Gallery’ in Clarence street Sydney, features the Photographic essays of George Voulgaropoulos and Richard Payne. 20th May- 1st June.
• Dystopia at Charles Hewitt Gallery in Darlinghurst features Dean Sewell’s new colour works. 20th May- 14th June. 
• Pat Sweet’s exhibition at ‘Goolhi Station, Block K at Point Light Gallery’ in Surry Hills. 20 May – 20th June.
• ‘Days in our life and La Bicicletta - Italy at Fouratefive’ is an exhibition on how Faye York sees the world through the lens. 22nd May – 5th June in Surry Hills.
