Congratulations to Nazar winner of the eighth Canon EOS Photochains hero-chain challenge, and the first winner to come from New Zealand!!
Nazar has won an EOS 500D Single IS Lens Kit valued at RRP $1,649 and 'Pool' is now the new inspiration/tag for the hero chain.
We asked Nazar a few questions about the inspiration behind the winning shot, taken in beautiful New Zealand.
Q: What inspired this shot?
A: There was a low tide at Maori Bay which allowed me to capture the rock pools in the foreground and the mountains in the background. The water in the rock pools was very still which gave a nice reflection of the sky. I also wanted to capture in detail the green moss on the rocks.
Q: How did you achieve this shot?
A: I mounted my camera on a tripod and used a low angle.
Q: Why did you choose 'Pool' as the link?
A: I chose 'Pool' as the next link because the low tide gave a lot of still rock pools that provided a mirror reflection, with the sunset giving off some nice colouring.
Q: How would you describe yourself as a photographer? When did you start shooting? How long have you been shooting for?
A: I'm a landscape photographer. I began photography 1 and a half years ago.
A: Anything else you want to share with the EOS community?
A: I'm happy I had the opportunity to share my photo with the EOS community.
Good luck all you Photochainers, can't wait to see where you take us next.....
