As promised, we asked the winner of the latest Canon EOS Photochains hero-chain challenge, Tim, to answer a few questions about his winning image.

Tim shows us that a great photo can happen at any moment, and you just have to be ready. We hope his thoughts inspire you to get out there and push the  boundaries with your photography…

Q: What inspired this shot?
Tim: No real inspiration, I had purchased the camera not long before this Kookaburra landed in the backyard. I took a few photos of it before it jumped up and swooped me. I basically took the shot with my eyes closed while holding my finger on the button!

Q: Why did you choose ' chain ' as the link?
Tim: I felt it is a link that is open to a lot of interpretation, plus it's about the only other thing in the shot.

Q: How would you describe yourself as a photographer?
Tim: As a photographer I am a keen amateur who has just started playing with the settings of my SLR. It's a hobby for me that I enjoy sharing with others.

Q: Anything else you want to share with the EOS community?
Tim: Just want to say thanks to everyone for voting for my picture. I am really excited to have won and honestly thought I had no chance. I will keep supporting the Canon EOS community through submitting and voting, and I encourage you all to do the same.
